General Yoga Class
Wednesday 10am - 11.30
This class will provide a stronger range of held asanas (postures and balances) and vinyasa surya namaskar (salute to the sun)for the whole body. Learn to use pranayama techniques (breath regulation/energy control) while moving in and out of the postures, ensuring dharana (mental steadiness of the mind) and increased energy levels. This then ensures preparation for dhyana (meditation techniques) which is designed to switch off the stress response and turn on the relaxation response. Feel free to use your sankalpa (intention) for self love or to focus on a pointed resolve for a specific goal anytime throughout the class.
Beginner/General Yoga Class
Friday 10am - 11.30
This class is for all levels and will take you through a range of asanas (postures, balances) for the whole body, while using your breath. This enables muscles to stretch, strengthen and release. Modifications or extensions will be offered to suit your body, while learning to feel correct alignment as you slowly move in and out of asansas with the use of props.
Learn pranayama techniques (breath regulation/energy control) for mental steadiness of the mind and dhyana (meditation techniques), designed to switch off the stress response and turn on the relaxation response.
Feel free to use your sankalpa (intention) for self love or to focus on a point of resolve.
Restorative Yoga Class
Wednesday 6pm - 7.30
This class is for all levels and designed to restore the nervous system and help release tensions from the mind & body. The front and back of the body will feel more open/balanced through passive/gentle stretching and strengthening, suitable to your needs/conditions/injuries. This will occur through the use of props to support muscles, so they can relax while you hold 5-6 asanas (postures) using pranayama techniques(control of breath/energy) for short periods.
In addition, you will feel the benefits of yoga nidra (yogic sleep) or meditations (dhyana) at the start and end of each class, enabling a sense of peace, healing and relaxation, including accessing your sankalpa (intention) self love or to focus on a pointed resolve for a specific goal.
Private Yoga Class
Friday 3pm - 4.30
This is a private class tailored to your needs by yourself and the teacher. All levels and abilities welcome with special focus on pregnancy, special needs, injuries, chair yoga or beginners.
Pregnancy, special needs, injuries and chair yoga by appointment. Workplace sessions for small groups to boost employee well-being and workplace productivity can be arranged. Please contact Moira directly for planning and further information.
